Submission Guidelines

To ensure a smooth selection process, please adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Only films that have been registered online through our official website will be considered for selection.

2. Feature-length films: Register and submit selection screeners by the specified deadline.
   - Short films: Register and submit selection screeners by the specified deadline.

3. Films previously submitted and viewed in past editions of the iLembe Shorts Festival may not be registered again.

4. Only films completed within the 12 months prior to the start of the festival are eligible for registration.

5. Feature-length films must have a minimum running time of 60 minutes.
   - iLembe Shorts accepts films up to 30 minutes, while short films will be accepted up to 20 minutes.

6. Submission Guidelines:
   - Specify whether the submissions are funded by KZNFC, NFVFSA, GFC, or self-funded.
   - Films should not be older than 5 years (applicable to those that never got the opportunity to be screened).
   - Accept only films, no music videos.

7. Documentary forms are welcome in all sections of the festival.

8. The Artistic Director reserves the right to make decisions on cases not explicitly covered in these guidelines.

9. Every submitter will receive written notification regarding the result of the selection screening. Due to the high volume of submissions, individual feedback on selection decisions cannot be provided.
